Bog butter

Iron Age dairy buried in Irish peat bogs for storage, sometimes for centuries. Anaerobic conditions preserve it perfectly. The oldest verified specimen, a 100lb wooden cask pulled from a Tyrone bog in 2009, was carbon-dated to roughly 2,000 BC. Still technically edible.
